Social media is the collective of online communications channels dedicated to community-based input, interaction, content-sharing and collaboration. It allows people to connect with each other online with photos, networking, family, friends, and business. It can help and harm. People use it to find jobs and business gain a competitive advantage with customers.

The popular social media platforms are obvious to most people – Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, LinkedIn, Reddit, Google +. Pinterest, snapchat, to name a few – with an audience of approximately 350 million.
